That’s not the botanical name, by the way…I’m not actually sure what this southwestern shrub is, but the beautiful mathematical spirals caught my eye. The kids love that kind of thing, and my daughter often points to a random tree and says, “137.5 degrees.” Here’s a video about it.

The 137.5 for tree limbs, I see all the time, but finding an actual spiral plant was awesome.
