Marc Schooley: Video Interview

Welcome to my house. Kids, cooking, hyperactive watchdog, and books. And what is that!? Who let that varmint in here?

That’s right, the varmint showed hisself, and our peashooters just weren’t fast enough. And you know, once they’re in the door, you have to be polite. It’s the Canadian way. So when Marc and his wife visited Canada recently, we grabbed some time after hosting them for supper, and hobnobbed about Konig’s Fire.

On the to-do list for next time:

  • lock the dog up
  • give the children a dose of ether
  • make sure the dishwasher’s loaded first (our poor longsuffering spouses patiently cleaned up while we were being book nerds)
  • wear black socks
  • include the clip where, after denying my claims, Marc says, “What you said was…But don’t use this part, because it’ll give away the ending.” (I rest my case.)

Bonus round for your viewing fun: a group of young creative types, including teen author Christian Miles, have put together a live-action trailer for fellow MLP author Jill Williamson’s second book.

  1. Add to “to do” list:

Keep book out of Marc’s hands, duct tape Marc’s arms behind him, install ten kilo wrist weights on Marc, or pad the book so his “thumps” don’t come through as seismic shocks (air bursts always make me cranky because my eardrums meet in the middle).

On the other hand, I think I’ll walk over to Amazon.com and see if his book is out on Kindle yet.

Looking at the other video, all I can say is, “Not too shabby, they show promise (not to mention appear to know what the heck they’re trying to do).”

    • We know better than to try to curtail Marc’s physical energy. In his world, sitting there is a sport. I thought he was quite restrained, really…

ROFL You remain the reigning king of sideways!

Just noticed**The sound quality is much better on the YouTube page–it’ll go up to 480p. This embed’s showing at lowest quality, with no higher options. I’m not savvy enough on this stuff to know how to change that…no wait again. Hit play and have options. Anyway, yes, the lowest res is harsh on the sound compression.

    • We thought so! :-D Great visit. Marc’s wife was already a friend of mine, but this was the first she and Dave got to really get to know each other. Turns out it’s a fabulous friendship of four.

Ooh! Which reminds me. I have to update some footer text on this here blog.
